TJ’s story
How it started, and why it stuck.
Most people tried AI once and moved on. TJ kept going.
He was early.
When ChatGPT launched in November 2022, TJ started using it right away, and he hasn’t gone a day without AI since. He wanted to know what it could actually do for a business, so he kept putting it on real work and watching what happened.
He kept at it.
The early tools got plenty wrong. Instead of writing them off, TJ kept testing new models and tools as they came out, learned where each one helps and where it doesn’t, and kept the habits that worked. That is still how he spends a good part of every week.
He learned to coach on a golf course.
Before software, TJ spent three years at The International Golf Club, where he learned how an operation really runs and how to teach. Helping a member fix a 7-iron turns out to be a lot like helping a team use AI: watch what they actually do, change one thing at a time, and make sure it sticks.
He knows how businesses buy software.
At Planful and CFO Solutions he sold finance software and saw how companies choose their tools, roll them out, and judge whether they paid off. He studied economics at Boston University, so before he automates anything he still asks the same question: what does it cost to run, and what does it give back?
Now he builds every day.
Since 2024 he has been setting up AI for other people’s businesses, and in 2025 he founded Cherry Place AI. By token volume he sits in the top fraction of a percent of Claude users, and he works just as readily in ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, and Grok Bot.
